Ronin Warriors

Manga and Anime-Originated Franchises

Ronin Warriors is a Japanese anime series created by Hajime Yatate, the collective pseudonym of the Sunrise animation staff, and produced by Sunrise. In Japan it is known as Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, which can be read as Legendary Armored Samurai Troopers. The television series was co-produced by Nagoya TV and aired across Japan on the All-Nippon News Network from April 30, 1988, to March 4, 1989, for a total of 39 episodes. A manga adaptation was serialized in Kodansha's Comic BomBom from November 1988 to April 1990, with its chapters collected into two volumes. A sequel to the original series premiered on January 6, 2026, so the franchise is still producing new material decades after the first broadcast.
