Danger Mouse (1981 TV series)

Television-Originated Franchises

Danger Mouse is a British children's animated television series produced by Cosgrove Hall Films for Thames Television and first shown on ITV. Its title character, Danger Mouse, works as a secret agent, and the programme is a parody of British spy fiction, in particular the Danger Man series and the James Bond films. The original series ran in the United Kingdom from 28 September 1981 until 19 March 1992. It is placed under television-originated franchises because the characters and the world of the spoof secret service first appeared on television.
