A camera stabilizing rig that isolates the camera from an operator's own movement, letting a single operator produce smooth, floating tracking shots without rails or a dolly. Inventor and cameraman Garrett Brown introduced it in 1975 through Cinema Products Corporation, and it appeared on screen within a year in Bound for Glory, in Rocky's Philadelphia museum steps sequence, and in Marathon Man's chase scenes.
