Oswald George Nelson, known as Ozzie Nelson, was an American actor, filmmaker, musician and bandleader, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on 20 March 1906 and died on 3 June 1975. He originated and starred in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, a radio and television series with his wife Harriet and two sons David and Ricky Nelson. His career ran from 1930 to 1973.
