Kaththi, meaning Knife, is a 2014 Indian Tamil language action drama film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Allirajah Subaskaran's Lyca Productions. It stars Vijay in a dual role, alongside Samantha, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sathish. In the story, a petty thief assumes the identity of his lookalike and leads a rebellion by farmers of the village of Thanoothu against an entrepreneur who has exploited the village's water resources.
