Wonder Woman #1 is a comic book with a cover date of Summer 1942, published by DC Comics, giving the character her own solo ongoing series after debuting in All Star Comics #8 in December 1941 and then appearing in Sensation Comics #1 in January 1942. The character and series were created by psychologist William Moulton Marston with artist Harry G. Peter, who drew the first issue's cover, and with contributions from Marston's wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston. The series that began with this issue ran as DC's volume 1 of Wonder Woman from 1942 to 1986, comprising 329 issues.
