Ramayana: Part 1 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language epic mythological film directed by Nitesh Tiwari, adapting the ancient Sanskrit epic Ramayana by Valmiki as the first installment of a planned two-part series. Ranbir Kapoor stars as Prince Rama alongside Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Yash and Ravi Dubey. First announced in 2017 as a live-action trilogy, the project was restructured over several years of development into its current two-part form.
