Hobsons Choice

Hobsons Choice is a 1954 British romantic comedy film directed by David Lean, adapted from Harold Brighouses 1915 play of the same name. Charles Laughton stars as the Victorian boot shop owner Henry Hobson, John Mills as the talented but timid bootmaker Will Mossop, and Brenda de Banzie as Hobsons unmarried eldest daughter Maggie. It won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1954.
