Series and Franchises

The multi-installment worlds that grew out of a landmark work or an original property: film, television, literature, comics, manga and anime, and video-game-originated franchises, placed by the medium their fictional universe first appeared in, never by whichever installment is most commercially prominent today. A franchise entry names the landmark work or works that founded it, so the two groupings read as one connected story rather than two separate rosters.
