Studio Ghibli Inc. is a Japanese animation studio based in Koganei, Tokyo, founded on 15 June 1985 by directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata together with producer Toshio Suzuki, after the success of Miyazaki 1984 film Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
