Yee Chih-yen, born 21 November 1959 in Taipei, is a Taiwanese film director, screenwriter, critic, instructor and writer. He is best known for Blue Gate Crossing, released in 2002, a coming of age drama that became one of the defining Taiwanese youth films of its decade. His television debut, Dangerous Mind, made for the Taiwan Public Television Service in 2006, won Best Television Series at the Golden Bell Awards. His screenplay for the historical drama Meeting Dr. Sun, released in 2014, won Best Original Screenplay at the Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards, and he directed the animated feature City of Lost Things in 2020, which won Best Animated Feature at the same awards.
