Nandita Roy, born in Vile Parle, Bombay, on 3 April 1955, is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter and editor who works in Bengali cinema and has been active since 1978. She made her directorial debut with Icche in 2011, co-directed with Shiboprosad Mukherjee, and since then the duo have co-written and co-directed films including Muktodhara in 2012 and Ramdhanu in 2014.
