Mehboob Khan Ramzan Khan was a prominent Indian film director and producer, born in Bilimora, Baroda State, British India, on 9 September 1907 and died on 28 May 1964. His career ran from 1931 to 1962, and he is best known for directing the social epic Mother India in 1957, which won the Filmfare Awards for Best Film and Best Director and two National Film Awards, and was a nominee for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
