Marvin Joseph Chomsky (May 23, 1929 to March 28, 2022) was an American director and producer who worked both in television and film. The atlas records him among the directors of the television miniseries Roots, whose episodes were shared between four directors, so that the people behind a landmark of American television are traceable from the work itself, and so that the range of a director who moved between the two screens is visible.
