Karan Kumar Johar, born Rahul Kumar Johar in Mumbai on 25 May 1972, is an Indian filmmaker, producer and television personality who primarily works in Hindi cinema and has been active since 1989. He has launched the careers of several successful actors and filmmakers under his company Dharma Productions, and he is the recipient of four National Film Awards and eight Filmfare Awards.
