John Edward Musker, born in Chicago on 8 November 1953, is an American animator and filmmaker who often collaborates with fellow director Ron Clements. Together they are best known for writing and directing Disney animated films including The Great Mouse Detective, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, Treasure Planet, The Princess and the Frog and Moana. His career began in 1977. Within this atlas John Musker is credited as the director of The Little Mermaid, Moana and Hercules (1997 film).
