James Steven Abrahams (May 10, 1944 to November 26, 2024) was an American film director and writer. With David and Jerry Zucker he was best known as a member of the comedy filmmaking trio Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker. The atlas records him as a co-creator of The Naked Gun franchise, which grew out of the trio's television series Police Squad!, so that the franchise is traced to all three of its creators and not only to the better-known brothers.
