Jamie Selkirk

Jamie Selkirk is a New Zealand film editor and producer whose long collaboration with director Peter Jackson runs from Jackson's early low budget features through the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Selkirk edited Jackson's Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles, Heavenly Creatures and Braindead, and served as full producer and editor on The Frighteners (1996). He co-produced The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) and The Two Towers (2002) as supervising editor, then edited and co-produced The Return of the King (2003), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, part of the film's sweep of all eleven Oscars it was nominated for. Selkirk later edited Jackson's King Kong (2005), continuing a partnership that helped establish Wellington, New Zealand as a major filmmaking center.
