Dean Allan DeBlois, born in Aylmer, Quebec, on 7 June 1970, is a Canadian filmmaker and animator who has been active since 1988. He is best known for co-writing and directing the Oscar-nominated animated feature films Lilo & Stitch in 2002 for Walt Disney Animation Studios, with Chris Sanders, and the How to Train Your Dragon films for DreamWorks Animation, and for directing the documentary Heima in 2007 about the Icelandic band Sigur Ros. Within this atlas Dean DeBlois is credited as the director of How to Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch.
