Adel Ferdosipour, born on 3 October 1974 in Rafsanjan in Iran's Kerman province, is an Iranian sports journalist, football commentator, translator, university teacher and television host and producer. He holds a master's degree in industrial engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and he became widely known as the host and producer of the football program Navad, and as a producer of Football 120 and supervisor of Football 360. His frank, questioning style of reporting, which sometimes challenged senior officials, made him one of the most recognisable public figures on Iranian television. The source reports that Newsweek counted him among twenty powerful people of Iran in 2009, and that his Monday night program drew an audience of tens of millions.
