Kaminey, meaning Scoundrels, is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language black comedy crime thriller written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, set against Mumbai's criminal underworld. Shahid Kapoor plays dual roles as twin brothers, one with a lisp and the other a stutter, whose rivalry unfolds over a single chaotic day, with Priyanka Chopra and Amole Gupte costarring. Bhardwaj bought the original script for 4,000 US dollars from Kenyan writer Cajetan Boy, whom he had mentored at a Ugandan scriptwriting workshop, before reworking it with several other screenwriters.
