Wild Strawberries

Wild Strawberries is a 1957 Swedish film written and directed by Ingmar Bergman, following an elderly professor on a car journey to receive an honorary degree, during which memories, dreams, and encounters with strangers lead him to confront regrets from his past. The film alternates between naturalistic present-day scenes and dreamlike sequences, an approach that became closely associated with Bergman's broader body of work exploring mortality, memory, and personal reckoning. Wild Strawberries won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival and is regarded as one of the films that established Bergman's international reputation as a major director.
