Y: The Last Man

Y: The Last Man is a post-apocalyptic comic book series written by Brian K. Vaughan with art primarily by Pia Guerra, published by DC Comics' Vertigo imprint across 60 issues from 2002 to 2008. On July 17, 2002, every mammal carrying a Y chromosome dies simultaneously except for amateur escape artist Yorick Brown and his pet capuchin monkey Ampersand, and the series follows Yorick as a secret agent known only as 355 protects him while geneticist Dr. Allison Mann tries to determine why he survived and whether humanity can continue. The series won three Eisner Awards and was collected in ten paperback volumes.
