Wetherby is a 1985 British mystery drama written and directed by David Hare, starring Vanessa Redgrave, Ian Holm and Judi Dench. It centers on Jean Travers, a middle-aged schoolteacher in West Yorkshire, whose dinner party is disrupted when a guest commits suicide in her home the next morning, unspooling in fragmented flashbacks that also reveal Jean's own past loss of a fiance decades earlier in British Malaya.
