Transmetropolitan

Transmetropolitan is a cyberpunk comic book series written by Warren Ellis and drawn by Darick Robertson, published by DC Comics across 60 issues from 1997 to 2002, initially under the short-lived Helix imprint before moving to Vertigo. It follows Spider Jerusalem, a gonzo journalist modeled loosely on Hunter S. Thompson, as he returns from self-imposed exile to a sprawling, technologically saturated future city called simply the City and uses his column to expose corruption and abuse of power reaching to the highest levels of government. The series became known for imagining an exuberant, information-drenched future society well before smartphones and social media made many of its ideas familiar.
