Lust, Caution is a 2007 erotic spy film directed by Ang Lee, a co-production of the United States, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, adapting Eileen Chang's 1979 novella of the same name. Set during the Japanese occupation of Shanghai in the Second World War, it follows Chinese students who plot to assassinate a high ranking official in the Japanese puppet government by luring him into a honey trap. Starring Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Tang Wei, the film won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and became the highest grossing NC-17 rated film of all time.
