Lady and the Tramp is a 1955 American animated musical romantic comedy produced by Walt Disney Productions, directed by Hamilton Luske, Clyde Geronimi and Wilfred Jackson, based on Ward Greene's 1945 magazine story Happy Dan, the Cynical Dog. It follows Lady, a pampered Cocker Spaniel voiced by Barbara Luddy, whose comfortable life is disrupted by a new baby in the household, leading her into an unlikely romance with Tramp, a streetwise stray dog. It was the first animated feature filmed in the widescreen CinemaScope process, and its spaghetti dinner scene between the two dogs became one of the most recognized images in American animation.
