God of War (2018 video game)

God of War is a 2018 action adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, which moved the long running series from Greek to Norse mythology. Players control an older Kratos and his son Atreus as they travel across the nine realms to scatter the ashes of Atreus's mother, fighting Norse gods and monsters along the way. The game was shot as a single continuous take with no visible cuts, a technique rarely attempted at this scale in a major action game, and its father and son story earned some of the highest critical scores of any PlayStation 4 exclusive.
