Birdman

Birdman, formally titled Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), is a 2014 satirical film directed by Alejandro G. Inarritu. It follows Riggan Thomson, an actor once famous for playing the superhero Birdman, as he attempts to revive his career and reputation by writing, directing and starring in a Broadway adaptation of a Raymond Carver story, while an internal voice in Birdman's own persona needles him toward the blockbuster fame he is trying to leave behind. Michael Keaton starred as Riggan alongside Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Zach Galifianakis and Naomi Watts. Shot and edited to appear as one continuous take through most of its length, the film won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Cinematography at the 2015 Academy Awards.
