Argo (2012 film)

Argo is a 2012 American historical political thriller directed by, produced by and starring Ben Affleck. Adapted by screenwriter Chris Terrio from Tony Mendez's memoir The Master of Disguise and a 2007 magazine article, it dramatizes the 1980 rescue of six United States diplomats from Tehran during the Iran hostage crisis by having them pose as a Canadian film crew scouting locations for a science fiction movie.
