Dark is a German science fiction mystery thriller television series created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, and it was Netflix's first German-language original series. It premiered on December 1, 2017 and ran for three seasons until June 27, 2020. Set in the fictional town of Winden, the story begins with a child's disappearance and unfolds into a time travel conspiracy spanning several generations, built around the bootstrap paradox and the effects of time on human nature.
