Are You Being Served? is a British television sitcom created and written by Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft, produced by the BBC and broadcast from 1972 to 1985 across ten series and 69 episodes including five Christmas specials. Set in the fictional department store Grace Brothers, it follows the staff of the ladies' and gentlemen's clothing departments in a store constantly out of step with the times. The series became a ratings hit in Britain and drew international attention when broadcast in countries including Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland and the United States, and it spawned a 1977 feature film and a 1992 to 1993 spin-off series, Grace and Favour.
