The Incredibles

Animated Feature Films

The Incredibles is a 2004 computer-animated film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and written and directed by Brad Bird, following a family of retired superheroes forced back into secret hero work after years of living in enforced suburban anonymity under a government ban on superpowered activity. The production pushed Pixar's animation of realistic human characters, including clothing and hair simulation, further than the studio's earlier, mostly non-human-centered films had required. The Incredibles won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and is widely regarded as a landmark in bringing complex human character animation and genre-film pacing to computer-animated feature filmmaking.
