Manga and Anime-Originated Franchises

Rosario + Vampire is a Japanese manga series created by Akihisa Ikeda, serialized beginning April 6, 2004. It follows Tsukune Aono, an ordinary teenager who mistakenly enrolls at a boarding school that in fact exclusively educates monsters in human form. There he befriends Moka Akashiya, a vampire who transforms into a more powerful alternate personality whenever the rosary sealing her true strength is removed, and the series follows the pair and their classmates through supernatural battles alongside romantic comedy. The original manga concluded in 2007 and was followed by a direct sequel, Rosario + Vampire: Season II, which concluded in 2014.
