My Hero Academia

Manga and Anime-Originated Franchises

My Hero Academia is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. It was serialized in Shueisha's shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 to August 2024, and its chapters have been collected into 42 tankobon volumes. The story is set in a world where superpowers, called Quirks, have become commonplace, and it follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without one who still dreams of becoming a hero. He is scouted by the world's greatest hero, All Might, who passes his own Quirk on to Midoriya and helps enroll him in a prestigious high school that trains future superheroes.
