Video-Game-Originated Franchises

Fortnite is a media franchise built on the video game developed and published by Epic Games, which launched its Save the World mode into early access on July 25, 2017. The franchise operates as a platform of distinct game modes rather than a single game: Fortnite Battle Royale, in which up to one hundred players compete to be the last one standing, Save the World, a cooperative tower defense and shooter mode, Creative, a sandbox for building custom worlds, Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, a rhythm game. All modes are free to play and support cross-platform accounts through Epic Games.
