APO-Source

Print and News Organizations

APO-Source was an online database of Africa related news releases operated by the African Press Organization, later APO Group, founded in 2007 by journalist Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard and headquartered in Dakar, Senegal. The platform offered free access to tens of thousands of press releases organized by country, industry and subject, distributing text releases alongside images, video and soundbites to hundreds of African news websites and to international partners. It was superseded by the successor platform Africa-Newsroom.com starting in October 2015, though some releases continued to be added to it until 2022.
