Lilo & Stitch (franchise)

Lilo and Stitch is an American media franchise created and owned by the Walt Disney Company, built around the 2002 animated film written and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. The original film's combined critical and commercial success, unusual for Disney's feature animation studio during its early 2000s downturn, led to two direct-to-video sequel films, a television sequel film, animated shorts, three animated television series, a live-action and CGI remake, video games, theme park attractions, comics, books and extensive merchandise. The franchise has become one of Disney's top ten best-selling franchises, with retail sales reported at 2.6 billion dollars as of 2024 and roughly 4 billion dollars more in the 2025 fiscal year alone, for overall revenue reported past 7.9 billion dollars.
