Roy Sarles Durstine was an American newspaper reporter, author and advertising executive who lived from 13 December 1886 to 28 November 1962. He co-founded the advertising agency BBDO and, starting in 1939, was president of his own firm, Roy S. Durstine, Inc. His advertising career connected him to the growth of commercial broadcasting, and he is named as a creator of the radio programme Cavalcade of America.
