Richard Drew

Journalists and Broadcasters

Richard Drew, born on December 6, 1946, is an American photojournalist for the Associated Press. He is known for taking The Falling Man, a photograph of an unidentified man falling from the World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks. That single photograph, published widely and controversially, is the work through which his name is most often recalled, although his employment with the Associated Press spans a long career covering news events as a staff photojournalist.
