Gerry Sandusky is an American sports broadcaster, born in 1961, who retired in 2026. A 1983 graduate of Towson University, he began as a sportscaster for WSVN-TV in Miami and joined WBAL-TV in Baltimore in 1988, where he became sports director. He did radio play-by-play for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League, broadcast Towson University basketball games and earlier hosted the pre-game show for Baltimore Orioles broadcasts. His catchphrase, The hay's in the barn, came from his college football coach. He owns The Sandusky Group, a media and communications consulting firm, and in 2014 published the memoir Forgotten Sundays about his relationship with his father, an NFL coach. He is not related to the Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky.
