Video Game Technology Pioneers

Hiroshi Matsumoto (松本 裕司) is a Japanese game designer, nicknamed Finish. He worked in the 1980s as a planner for the company Capcom and later moved to SNK, where he became a director. He was a planner on the first Street Fighter game, working with the director Takashi Nishiyama, and the two came up with the ideas of a fighting game exploring martial arts, with deeper story and character elements. The atlas records him as a co-creator of the Street Fighter franchise.
