Dylan Verrechia

Dylan Verrechia is a French born film director, screenwriter, director of photography and producer whose award winning work has centered on independent narrative and documentary filmmaking. Born March 9, 1976 in Paris, he became known for a trilogy of narrative features, Tijuana Makes Me Happy, Tierra Madre and La Pura Vida, work that earned him the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature at the Slamdance Film Festival and Best Narrative Feature at Reeling, the Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival, among numerous other accolades from festival circuits. Beyond narrative feature work he has also directed documentaries, including Kumeyaay Land, which won Best Documentary at the Red Nation Film Festival, and Kids of the Majestic, which received the Best Feature Children's Advocacy award at the Artivist Film Festival and Awards. He founded multiple production companies over the course of his career and is based in Baja California, Mexico, a region that has become a recurring setting and subject in his filmmaking.
