Carl Bernstein

Carl Bernstein is an American journalist who, as a reporter for The Washington Post in the early 1970s, worked alongside fellow reporter Bob Woodward to investigate the Watergate break-in and the wider pattern of political abuses within the Nixon administration that it exposed. Their reporting, later detailed in the co-authored book All the President's Men, is widely credited as a landmark of American investigative journalism and helped establish the Post's national reputation for political reporting. Bernstein continued a career in journalism and authorship following Watergate, writing on subjects including American politics and the Catholic Church.
