Bob Woodward

Bob Woodward is an American journalist who, as a reporter for The Washington Post beginning in the early 1970s, worked with fellow reporter Carl Bernstein to investigate the 1972 break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate complex. Their reporting helped uncover a broader pattern of abuse of power within the Nixon administration and contributed to the chain of events that led to President Richard Nixon's resignation in 1974, work often cited as a defining example of modern investigative journalism. Woodward has continued a long career as an investigative reporter and author of numerous nonfiction books on American politics and government.
