The Last Waltz

The Last Waltz is a 1978 concert documentary directed by Martin Scorsese, filming the Band's farewell performance with its classic lineup at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976. The concert featured guest appearances by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison and Eric Clapton, among others, in what the film presents as the group's final show together. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest concert documentaries ever made and was selected for preservation in the Library of Congress's National Film Registry in 2019.
