Jiro Dreams of Sushi is a 2011 Japanese language American documentary directed by David Gelb, following Jiro Ono, then an 85 year old sushi master and owner of Sukiyabashi Jiro, a ten seat, sushi only restaurant in a Tokyo subway station that had earned three Michelin stars. The film also profiles Jiro's two sons, both sushi chefs, including his elder son Yoshikazu, who works under his father while expected to one day succeed him at the flagship restaurant, and his younger son Takashi, who left to open a mirrored version of the restaurant in Roppongi Hills.
