All the Beauty and the Bloodshed

All the Beauty and the Bloodshed is a 2022 American documentary directed by Laura Poitras about the photographer and activist Nan Goldin. The film traces Goldin's life and career alongside her advocacy during the HIV and AIDS crisis of the 1980s and her later campaign, through the group she founded called P.A.I.N., to pressure museums into cutting ties with the Sackler family over its role in the opioid crisis. The film won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
