Zach Braff

Zach Braff, born Zachary Israel Braff in 1975, is an American actor, writer and director whose work spans television, independent film and studio family movies. He first reached wide audiences playing Dr. John Dorian on the NBC comedy Scrubs from 2001 to 2010, a role that earned him three Golden Globe nominations and a Primetime Emmy nomination. In 2004 he wrote, directed and starred in Garden State, a low budget coming of age drama that won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature and produced a soundtrack that won a Grammy Award for Best Soundtrack Album. He has also voiced characters in the animated films Chicken Little and Oz the Great and Powerful, and continued to move between acting, directing and writing across film and television.
