Delbert Mann

Delbert Martin Mann Jr. was an American television and film director, born in Lawrence, Kansas, on 30 January 1920 and died on 11 November 2007. He won the Academy Award for Best Director for the film Marty in 1955, which was adapted from a 1953 teleplay that he had also directed, and his career ran from 1949 to 1994.
